Ameesha Patel (Bollywood Actor) Joins Angel Foundation for upliftment of women. Angel Foundation on 25th of March 2009 distributed stationary to the needy children of the Kalyanpuri area slums, for whom it’s impossible to pursue their studies as they cannot afford to buy even basic books. The slums have a population of over 200, 000, the average income of the families living here is 30000 to 60000 per annum. Patel is Angeli’s angel,Mid Day-- April 7,2009 Talking to Mid Day newspaper, Angeli Kapoor Puri, founder of Angel Foundation said, the Angel Foundation plans to hold fund raising events in Monte Carlo and USA along with another NGO, for the foundation. Says Angeli, “We are planning to host the Miss India Angel World in London on October 3 and all the funds will go towards the foundation.” Database of Girls Born in slums.

Angel Foundation has openned bank accounts for these girls and is working on the getting the funds for them.
